What does a dental check-up include?

Each appointment includes a comprehensive oral examination, removal of plaque and calculus, diagnostic x-rays, fillings, preventative fluoride and a dental care plan.

We also provide information to patients about the importance of maintaining good oral health. Our services are provided by highly trained staff in a fun, relaxed environment to ensure every patient has a great experience visiting the dentist.

When are appointments held?

Appointments are conducted during school and business hours, at a time convenient to your employees or students. We also provide an emergency service that can visit patients out of hours at your home.

What if I need additional treatment?

Patients needing additional treatment can visit our head office in Tullamarine (including weekend appointments) or will be referred to a specialist.

Teeth on Wheels is visiting. How does my child participate?

Please complete and return the consent and medical history form to your child’s school (additional forms will be available via your school’s reception staff). Forms must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Teeth on Wheels cannot see your child if the consent or medical history form has been completed incorrectly.

How do I know if my child eligible for government assistance?

To be eligible, you or your child must receive one of the following:

  • Family Tax Benefit (Part A)
  • Parenting Payment
  • Double Orphan Payment
  • Carer Payment
  • Disability Support Pension
  • Special Benefit
  • Youth Allowance

financial assistance under the Veterans’ Children Education Scheme (VCES) or Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act Education and Training Scheme (MRCAETS).

Alternatively, please complete your form and Teeth on Wheels will confirm your eligibility prior to our visit.

My child’s not eligible – can we still use your service? How much will it cost?

Yes, we provide a discounted price of $100 for appointments made through your school. This includes a comprehensive check-up and clean, including any necessary x-rays, and a protective fluoride treatment. Payment plans are available, please contact us to find out more.

My child’s not eligible but we have private health insurance – can I claim your service?

Yes, most private health insurers provide two free check-ups and cleans per family member each year. Please provide your health insurance details on your child’s consent form.

How do you clean your equipment?

Our staff are trained to the highest infection control standards. All equipment is cleaned at our main facility in Tullamarine, in accordance with the Australian Dental Association Guidelines.
