Free Dental Treatment For Children
With the assistance of the Federal government, Medicare has a Child Dental Benefits Schedule that provides financial support for basic dental care for children aged between 2 and 17 years. This benefit is capped at $1095 per child, every two calendar year period.
Is your child eligible for free dental treatment?
To be eligible, you or your child must receive one of the following:
- Family Tax Benefit (Part A)
- Parenting Payment
- Double Orphan Payment
- Carer Payment
- Disability Support Pension
- Special Benefit
- Youth Allowance
- Financial assistance under the Veterans’ Children Education Scheme (VCES) or Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act Education and Training Scheme (MRCAETS).
Teeth on Wheels will confirm each child’s eligibility for treatment to be bulk-billed through Medicare prior to visiting your school or facility.
